Description:
DUTIES
- Preparation of new fees, Invoicing and collection, ensuring accruals are accurate and timely, effective collection
- Posting of journals, thorough review thereof, ensuring accuracy, preparing journals and ensuring the proper controls are followed, saving of journals in ECM
- Effective collection of all outstanding invoices captured by the Accounting team
- Act as a liaison between Finance and OPS teams, always be professional, and offer appropriate financial advice. Meet monthly to resolve queries, and ensure processes are in place to avoid further such queries
- Proper HC management of the staff. Ensure deadlines are met, general ledger is properly maintained and provide guidance, leadership and coaching/mentoring to the staff
- Supply management to reasonable and accurate reports at all times to assist with decision making. Reconciliations must be prepared timeously, be relevant and reconciling items must be followed up and resolved timeously
- Assist auditors with the internal and external audits
- Identification and reporting of key risk areas to management and offer solutions thereof
- Preparation and Review of Budgets
- Be a leader in new projects in your division
- Approving of EFT’s. beneficiaries
- Meet and manage all deadlines effectively
- Critically analyze procedures and systems with a view to continuously improve them. Implement new ideas and create buy in
