Reporting To Head of Supply Chain & ProcurementJob Purpose
To plan and co-ordinate all planning and supply activities to meet company objectives in terms of product supply, desired stock levels and demand forecasts, ensuring optimum efficiency and productivity is achieved at the lowest total cost.
To provide continuous improvement on all planning and operational systems which enable the desired measurements and benefits of these activities.
To ensure continuous supply of all active, inactive materials and packaging by meeting the required specifications and regulatory requirements.
Key Job Outputs
Manage cost increases as well as negotiation of reductions based on increasing volume
Manage and implement Cost Measurement and Reporting System
Manage supplier service contacts
Ensure extensive ongoing coordination, communication and team problem solving with all key stakeholders including RA, A company sites and suppliers.
SOP implemented and compliance measured, continually drive with key stakeholder until completion and implementation.
All principal queries responded to within 1 day
Excellent Relationship Management
Reduction of cost of goods, and close control and strong understanding of cost increases and cost expectation
Assist & liaise with production prioritising
Work with the Manufacturing schedulers reviewing plans to best optimise assets, taking into account the demand forecast, distribution requirements and asset constraints to meet the customer service and stock holding objectives.
Manage plans, through the Planner / Buyers for the 3rd party manufacturers including the long-term requirements to ensure stability of supply.
Manage the communication channels between the demand creation and supply teams on daily inventory issues.
Constantly improve the planning process through reviews of the ASCP/Demantra/Oracle systems and to review the stock targets for improved asset utilisation.
Ensure queries from Business Units are addressed within agreed timelines according to SLA’s.
Liaise with internal stakeholders / departments to ensure stock levels are maintained at an optimal level.
Provide input to the Supplier Audits.
Source alternate suppliers and manufacturers to ensure competitive and constant supply of stock and ensure dual sources of all raw materials and packaging materials.
Good understanding of the regulatory requirements for the registration of all Actives and Inactives.
Run projects for the full implementation of actives, in-actives and packaging.
Provide quality leadership inclusive of facilitating creative improvements and inspiring others.
Teach and mentor others how to sell value and solutions to company Customers.
Develop self/team with optimal knowledge and skills with the talent management process.
Requirements:
Required LearningRelevant Degree – Engineering, Supply Chain and Logistics or B.Com Finance.
5 years planning experience, preferably in Pharma/FMCG industry
3-5 years Supply Chain experience within warehousing/logistics
3-5 years managerial experience
Knowledge of advanced supply chain planning on Oracle would be an advantage
Sound understanding of Logistics/Supply Chain business principles and processes.
