Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Management Accountant to join their dynamic and forward-thinking team. This fully remote role is ideal for someone who thrives in a flexible environment and has strong expertise in financial strategy, global finance, and investment readiness. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership to build a sophisticated financial structure, preparing the company for rapid growth and investor engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage accurate management accounts, financial statements, and VAT returns.
Oversee cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning to ensure accuracy and compliance with UK accounting regulations.
Conduct mini audits on accounts to ensure they are investor-ready.
Support and define the investment strategy for the business, helping to scale revenue to £10M, £15M, and £20M.
Provide financial insights and strategic advice to founders and investors.
Manage financial operations involving multiple currencies and international trade.
Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, tax planning, and financial compliance.
Implement and enhance ERP and financial software integrations.
Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
Handle complex financial discussions with founders and investors confidently
Requirements:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).Extensive experience in financial governance and investment readiness within an SME environment.
Strong knowledge of global finance markets, multiple currencies, and international trade.
Proficiency in UK financial regulations, tax laws, and HMRC compliance.
Expertise in Xero and financial modelling for investment analysis.
Proven ability to forecast and strategise for business scaling.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while staying proactive and innovative.
