Position summary:

As a Junior Online Learning Support and Content Coordinator, you will provide client support and assist with content development for the Masthead Learning Centre – an online platform that helps financial advisors complete their CPD and manage competence requirements. You will handle client queries across multiple channels and contribute to developing online learning content, including curating articles and creating assessments.

Please note that this is a full-time, office-based position located at our head office in Mowbray, Cape Town.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to Learning Centre queries via email, and phone, ensuring timely resolution based on priority levels.
  • Set up upcoming webinars and seminars on the Learning Centre website.
  • Configure and test new online courses, ensuring accuracy in CPD information, email templates, and survey emails.
  • Curate and proofread articles and assessment questions, collaborating with the Learning Designer for review.
  • Conduct website regression testing as needed, focusing on user experience, functionality and negative testing.
  • Verify payments and grant access to learning activities, including investigating unidentified transactions in bank statements.
  • Assist at the front desk when needed, handling call transfers and supporting the Office Administrator.

Minimum Requirements – Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Matric (Senior Certificate) and a tertiary qualification, preferably in Languages, Instructional Design, Communication, or a related field.

Essential technicalskills and experience:

  • Proven skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Word.
  • Proficient in proofreading and copyediting, with fluency in English and proficiency in at least one other official South African language.
  • Six months to one year of experience in the online learning industry is a must.

Highly advantageous in this role:

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably Moodle.
  • Experience with online authoring tools, such as Articulate Rise and H5P.
  • Experience with project management tools, such as Asana.
  • Experience using Freshdesk or similar helpdesk software.
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) design.
  • Experience using AI responsibly and ethically.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry.
