Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented stock controller with a passion for keeping operations running smoothly?
A leading company is looking for an experienced Stock Controller to join their dynamic team. This role requires a highly organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for accuracy. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing stock control across multiple stores, ensuring stock integrity, and working closely with suppliers and store teams to maintain optimal stock levels and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock takes across all stores and head office Perform spot checks and ensure compliance with prescribed receiving practices and procedures Monitor and track stock transfers between stores to maintain accurate records Investigate and report on stock discrepancies, wastage, and inefficiencies Support the accounts team with creditor checks, invoice capturing, and payment tracking Ensure sales figures are accurate through periodic checks on key stock items Stay up to date with the GAAP POS system, ensuring seamless data flow and store connectivity Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while monitoring price changes and potential cost-saving opportunities Assist store managers in adhering to stock department budgets and minimising food costs Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings, providing insights and reports on stock performanceIdeal Candidate:
Proven experience in stock control, preferably in a multi-store environment Strong analytical skills and a meticulous attention to detail Proficiency in stock management systems and POS software (GAAP experience advantageous) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and store teams Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyEE Disclaimer:
