Key Responsibilities:Lead the development of new food products, from concept to launch Conduct detailed research and development on ingredients, formulations, and food technologies Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, production, quality control) to ensure successful product innovation and commercialization Stay up to date with industry trends, consumer preferences, and regulatory requirements Conduct sensory evaluation and product testing to ensure quality and consumer appeal Identify and implement new technologies and processes to improve product quality and efficiency Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to manufacturing teams Document and report findings to senior management and stakeholders Qualifications:
A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in R&D or product development within the food industry Strong knowledge of food formulations, ingredient functionality, and food safety standards Experience in sensory evaluation, product testing, and product commercialization Knowledge of South African food regulations and industry standards Passionate about innovation and sustainability in the food sector
