Hospitality Diploma or tertiary qualification in Hotel Management Computer Literate – Pastel /Micros/Opera/SEMPER property management system, as well as Microsoft Office English speaking, fluent in written and spoken English Zulu (Speak) – certainly a great benefit. Management experience in luxury lodge environmentExperienced in managing such a large and diverse and intense propertyFocus of Guest experience delivery from each departmentSystematic and strong with protocolsUse to a reporting system and presenting month end packs to OperationsAn understanding of budget control and financial management and planning for the future of the lodgeHR and payroll functions of the lodgeHands on staff management and staff disciplinary processDelicately manage community staff and drive the development/upliftment process of those selected employeesEye for detail and good all-rounder in all aspects of the hotel – food/ beverage/ housekeeping/ front officeExperience and ability to train staffReservations and front office administration & practicesBasic maintenance & vehicle skills & knowledgeFront of House Hospitality Manager & F & B (FOH & Kitchen)Month End Stock Takes & continuous stock controlGuidingManagement of guiding departmentReservations/Reception bookings are done at Head Office therefore Lodge just to update the lodge sheet with current details & work the reservations from paper to arrival to departureFinance, Admin, Stock Controls & StocktakingHousekeeping Communicating with HODs on bookings information,MaintenanceManagement of maintenance staff and tasks planned and unplannedHR General Duties
