Description:
As an Armored Vehicles Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing tests to validate and verify the performance of armored vehicles and their subsystems. This includes evaluating vehicle systems under real-world conditions to ensure they meet design specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to identify potential improvements and ensure that our vehicles are operationally ready for the field.Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute various tests on armored vehicles, including ballistic, blast, mobility, and thermal tests, to assess vehicle performance, durability, and safety. Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and protocols in accordance with industry standards, military specifications, and customer requirements. Work closely with design engineers to review vehicle designs and recommend modifications based on test results. Conduct detailed analysis of test data, identifying trends, issues, and areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards during all testing activities. Coordinate with external agencies, such as government and military representatives, for third-party testing and certification. Lead or assist in the creation of technical reports detailing test results, including performance assessments and recommendations for further development. Provide technical support to production teams, ensuring that designs are feasible for manufacturing and that testing aligns with production capabilities. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to vehicle systems or test equipment. Participate in design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement test-driven design changes. Stay up to date with industry developments, new testing technologies, and advancements in armored vehicle design and testing methodologies.Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Experience in vehicle testing, preferably in armored or military vehicle systems. Strong understanding of vehicle performance testing, including mechanical, electrical, and ballistic systems. Experience with test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems. Knowledge of military specifications, standards, and testing protocols related to armored vehicles. Proficient in analyzing and interpreting complex test data, with a strong focus on troubleshooting and problem-solving. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present test results to stakeholders at all levels.
