Responsibilities:Financial reporting
Assisting in the capture of financial data on accounting software. Assisting with the preparation of Trial Balance and Management Accounts, monthly, ensuring that they are kept up-to-date, preparing financial reports, conducting audits, and providing information to external auditors and liaise with external auditors to prepare Annual Financial Statements Budgeting
Adhering to the dealership's budget, review budget to actual forecasts and report variances Payroll
Managing payroll Financial analysis
Performing financial surveillance, monitoring financial accounts and determine trends and variances Asset reporting
Preparing, maintaining and updating the dealerships comprehensive asset report, overseeing inventory checks (new and used vehicles as well as spare parts inventory), seeing it takes place monthly Financial reporting
Communicating the dealership's financial condition to the dealer principal or general manager Sales and expense analysis
Providing sales and expense analyses to identify potential problem areas and opportunities for improvement Report to the dealership's Office Manager, General Manager, Dealer Principal or CEO. They may also work with manufacturers or service centres Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years in same or similar role as Accountant / Payroll with experience in a Commercial Motor Industry environment Excellent understanding of automotive trucking industry Commercial Vehicle experience ESSENTIAL!!!
