Key Responsibilities:Business Growth and Market Expansion:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the commercial book, focusing on imports and exports. Develop and execute strategic business development plans to increase revenue and market share. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to identify strategic growth opportunities.Commercial Operations Management:
Manage day-to-day quotes and estimates from the Commercial team, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions. Ensure all estimates are accurately filed on the online system for easy access and record-keeping. Arrange daily, monthly, and quarterly spot tenders to secure competitive transport rates.Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
Build and nurture strong relationships with potential and existing clients to understand their logistics needs and offer tailored solutions. Lead negotiations and close high-value deals, ensuring profitable and sustainable business relationships. Provide excellent customer service to enhance client satisfaction and retention.Transporter and Subcontractor Management:
Oversee transporter management across the region to ensure availability and efficiency. Own and maintain relationships with new hauliers and the existing fleet to support business requirements. Grow the subcontractor pool of hauliers in line with demand requirements to enhance operational flexibility. Set up transport contracts for critical projects, ensuring compliance with legal and operational requirements.Strategic Partnerships and Networking:
Establish strategic alliances with transporters, logistics partners, and other stakeholders to enhance service offerings. Network with industry leaders, attend trade shows, and participate in relevant industry events to promote brand visibility and identify new opportunities.Key Account Management and Sales Support:
Manage strategic import accounts to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention. Support the Commercial team in achieving budget and stretch targets through effective sales support. Collaborate with the Commercial team to provide competitive pricing solutions and commercial leads.Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with the Commercial team to develop competitive pricing strategies and value propositions. Work closely with the country team to ensure availability of truck capacity and optimal logistics solutions. Coordinate with the Operations team for efficient logistics execution and transporter management.KPI Reporting and Performance Monitoring:
Set up KPI reporting by haulier on a monthly basis as per business commitments. Monitor haulier performance and provide insight
