Description:
Job Summary:The Head Nurse is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining the operational integrity of the nursing department at the health center. This leadership role requires effective management of nursing personnel, adherence to clinical standards, staff education, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices. The Head Nurse works closely with physicians, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to promote a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care Education:
Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required. A Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Experience in a healthcare sector such as a clinic, health center, or hospital, with a broad understanding of patient care services.
Maternity experience
Certifications:
Current state RN license.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
Certification in nursing leadership or management is a plus.
Other relevant certifications (e.g., Infection Control, Nurse Practitioner) are desirable.
Working Conditions:
Full medical position, typically 40 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate patient needs and staffing requirements.
Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call responsibilities as needed.
Exposure to medical equipment, chemicals, and infectious materials in a clinical environment.
