An excellent career opportunity for a motivated individual exists in the Engineering department for a Mechanical Supervisor, reporting directly to the Engineer Manager based at Epping Plant.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all equipment, machinery, buildings and premises are in good working condition, that subordinates are managed correctly and that all relevant information are maintained for statistical purposes.
DUTIES:
- To ensure that all equipment, machinery, building, and facilities are in good
- working order.
- To manage all the mechanical employees and contractors correctly and to ensure the optimal performance
- To maintain all relevant information for statistical and record keeping purposes
- To ensure optimal productivity and plant efficiency
- To provide input into the planning of all mechanical maintenance projects and work
- Oversee continuous maintenance on plant machinery
- Improve machine availability and reliability
- Co-ordinate the implementation of all mechanical projects
- Ensure the availability of all raw materials and resources
- Ensure that projects are completed within the allocated time and budget
- Manage the training and development of the employees daily where necessary
- Oversee and manage all compulsory inspections on critical machinery
- Ensure the safety and security of all machinery and equipment
- Ensure that subordinates follow the correct safety procedures
- Oversee that housekeeping and safety inspections are regularly performed

- Have a N4 Mechanical Qualification
- Be a qualified and trade tested Fitter
