Our client, a well-established consulting firm in Johannesburg, is seeking a Professional Construction Manager with 7-10 years of experience in managing commercial building projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to lead and oversee construction projects, ensuring successful delivery within time, budget, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage the construction of commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
· Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction activities from inception to completion.
· Manage project budgets, contracts, and procurement processes.
· Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
· Lead and mentor site teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
· Conduct site inspections, resolve construction issues, and implement corrective measures.
· Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on-site.
Requirements:
· BSc / BTech in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
· 7-10 years of experience managing commercial building projects.
· SACPCMP registration as a Professional Construction Manager (Pr.CM) is essential.
· Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
· Experience with contract management (JBCC, NEC, or FIDIC).
· Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
· Must be based in Johannesburg or willing to relocate.
