Description:
Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain production schedules for the manufacturing of winders, winches, and conveyors. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure material availability and workflow efficiency. Monitor and track production progress, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions. Optimize plant capacity utilization while minimizing bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles to enhance production efficiency. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the manufacturing plant. Maintain accurate planning documentation, including BOMs (Bill of Materials), work orders, and capacity reports. Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule preventive maintenance and reduce unplanned downtime. Analyze production data and KPIs, making recommendations for process improvements. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of components and finished products.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in production planning within a mining or heavy engineering manufacturing environment. Technical Knowledge: Expertise in manufacturing winders, winches, and conveyors. Strong understanding of engineering drawings, machining, fabrication, and assembly processes. Experience with MRP/ERP systems for production planning and inventory control. Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and coordination abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Other Requirements: Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles. Valid drivers license and ability to travel if required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Production & Inventory Management (APICS/CPIM) or similar. Experience in Microsoft Project, SAP, or other planning tools. Exposure to heavy machinery maintenance and reliabil
