Description:
Prepare and deliver high-quality management accounts, including variance analysis and reporting to internal stakeholders
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, manage inter-company positions, and oversee payroll financial accounting processes
Ensure alignment with company policies and strict reporting deadlines
Work closely with Commercial Finance to maintain accurate budgets, forecasts, accruals, and prepayments for month-end accounts
Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and VAT return submissions
Support interest calculations and foreign exchange exposure assessments
Contribute to the successful integration of a new accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics)
Uphold internal controls and stay updated on technical accounting developments, providing valuable insights to the team
Skills & Experience:
Completed articles OR a completed degree with 3+ years of accounting experience
Ability to thrive in fast-changing environments and adapt to new challenges
Experience in any of the following is highly advantageous:
Taking on a completely new role with no prior handover
Help establish a startup company or new finance division
Managing a financial data cleanup project
Assisting with the implementation of a new finance system
Qualification:
Completed BCom degree or equivalent
Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles (highly beneficial)
