Description:

Our client, situated in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town in Muizenberg, is the local branch of an international food manufacturing facility. The company is one of the South African market-leaders in manufacturing therapeutic foods, while operating under extreme food safety conditions and standards.

The company’s Production Department is looking for a Raw Materials Coordinator to join the team and work in the Receiving areas. The incumbent will be part of the Operations team and will report to the Operations Manager.

Duties :

Adhering to and maintaining food safety, health, quality and hygiene standards at all times Adhering to and implementing standard operating procedures and the quality management system Mitigating food safety and health & safety risks in the factory Performing cleaning and sanitation procedures according to standard operating procedures Supervising the daily activities and HR requirements of the Raw Materials Assistants Performing quality checks on all raw materials Ensuring all stock transfers, raw materials sampling, issuing and verifications are conducted Supervise, facilitate and conduct monthly stock take of raw materials and packaging materials Drafting and submitting weekly Raw Materials Warehouse reports Ensure compliance to the Health and Safety regulations of RM Warehouse and the general factory Operating forklift, pallet jack and hand-held jack Completing necessary paperwork: verification checklists, hygiene checklists, cleaning checklists, waste control checklist, truck and container visual inspection sheets Managing and ensuring the ERP system is accurately maintained to reflect all raw and packaging materials. Proactively providing assistance in other departments, as and when required

Requirements :

Matric qualification Knowledge of and experience working in the Food Industry and Standards in South Africa (e.g. HACCP, ISO, FSSC): at least 5-10 years of experience Production / manufacturing knowledge and experience: at least 5-10 years of experience Experience working in FMCG environment: at least 5-10 years of experience Experience / training in Occupational Health and Safety: at least 5-10 years of experience Knowledge of and experience with stock-take procedures (FIFO) Computer literacy – MS Office, D365 system: at least 3 years Valid fork-lift licence Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Excellent administrative record-keeping and filing (manual / electronic) Punctual, results-oriented, adaptable and able to work in a team environment Time management skills and the ability to work under pressure Able to maintain high standards, good wor
