Health and Safety responsibilitiesRisk Management & Compliance Conduct risk assessments, develop risk management strategies, and ensure compliance with OHS Act and Construction Regulations Audit & Incident Investigation Conduct internal audits, compliance audits, and site inspections, identify non-compliance, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses with detailed reporting Project & Contractor Safety Oversight Advise principal contractors and subcontractors, ensure safety plans are implemented, and oversee safety officers on-site to maintain compliance. Training & Safety Awareness Facilitate HSSE training for management and workers, deliver Toolbox Talks, and ensure proper induction training for new employees and visitors. Regulatory & Client Liaison Work closely with authorities, clients, auditors, and project teams to meet safety compliance and contractual requirements. Emergency & Safety Program Management Coordinate emergency procedures, evacuations and safety drills General responsibilities
Submit monthly safety data and statistics to the Company Health and Safety Manager and Management as required. Analyze the quality and safety statistics to determine any adjustments and improvements which may be required and communicate with the Company Health and Safety Manager. Conduct frequent site safety visits and compile site-specific safety reports to promote safety awareness in the business. Drive compliance with ISO relevant company procedures. Support the Management team with key business initiatives, identified projects and activities to nurture a continuous improvement business culture. Key Requirements
Formal Health & Safety Qualification as Construction Safety Officer (NOSA etc.) SACPCMP registered Construction health & safety experience 10 years+ Experience in Electrical Construction Industry beneficial Project Management Experience Experience in managing people
