What we are looking for?
The HR & Onboarding Coordinator at Village N Life plays a vital role in managing the recruitment process, facilitating a seamless onboarding experience for new employees, and ensuring compliance with South African labour laws. This role also involves overseeing the VNL Data Vault across all properties, assisting managers with performance reviews, and addressing employee benefits and payroll queries. Additionally, the HR & Onboarding Coordinator will be responsible for managing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency in HR processes.
A strong understanding of SD6 (Sectoral Determination for the Hospitality Industry) and SD11 (Sectoral Determination for the Private Security Sector) is crucial for ensuring compliance with wage regulations and employment conditions across relevant roles within the company. Experience with Psiber payroll systems is essential to ensure accurate payroll processing and statutory submissions.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. In addition to providing vital administrative support, the HR & Onboarding Coordinator will ensure the efficient management of HR policies, data records, compliance, and SOPs, contributing to the smooth and effective operation of the HR department.
Minimum Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Organisational / Industrial Psychology or People Management.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the same or similar position.
Relevant HR experience.
Hospitality experience is advantageous.
SD11 and SD6 experience is advantageous
Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
