Description:
The Fitters department requires a committed, hardworking and reliable Painter/Handyman to join their team. The Painter/Handyman will be responsible for the following tasks, amongst others:
- Maintaining building structures and upkeep of the aesthetics thereof
- Measuring, cutting and disassembling or assembling various components
- Various maintenance and new installations on buildings, workshops and office spaces
- Repairing, maintaining and renovating different structures, tools, equipment and appliances throughout the workplace
- Paint work for various projects, office space, workshops, parking bays and demarcation areas
- Prepare and erect timber framed partitions, Prepare and fit wall paneling
- Perform tasks using rough sketches and dimensions
- Repair equipment or appliances where possible
- Perform regular inspections in order to identify areas requiring attention
- Adherence to Health and Safety regulations
- Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of workshop safety
- Assisting the Fitters department with various adhoc duties
- Assisting various maintenance teams and Artisans with adhoc tasks as and when required
Qualifying Criteria:
- Grade 12
