A market-leader in the insurance industry seeks an analytical Technical Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team, based in Midrand.Duties Include (But Not Limited to):
- Financial accounting
- Management accounting
- Audits
- Calculate and compare ratios
- Split premiums collected
- Claims payments and recons
- Compile and distribute broker statistics
- Allocations of deposits from premium bank accounts
- Recons of deposit and cost accounts
- Distribute broker packs
- Issue deposit slips

Education:
- BCom in Accounting or equivalent
Skills & Experience:
- SAICA articles completed with Insurance clients
- 2 to 3 years post-articles experience in a technical / operational Accountant role within the insurance industry
- Sage experience essential
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Sound knowledge and understanding of related financial legislation and processes
- Financial acumen
- Ability to work in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
- Team player
