Description:
- Experience: 5 to 10 years in a similar role, preferably in a lodge or hospitality setting.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of construction, facilities management, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Experience with water reticulation, boreholes, electrical systems, refrigeration, mechanical repairs, air conditioning, and sewage systems.
- Understanding of water plants and septic plants (bio tanks and reed beds).
- Education & Certifications:
- Matric certificate (minimum requirement).
Leadership & Management Skills: Ability to lead and supervise a maintenance team. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Experience in budgeting and cost control. Knowledge of health & safety regulations and environmental compliance.
Additional Skills & Requirements: Hands-on, practical problem solver with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work in a remote location and adapt to challenges, including varying weather conditions. Project management experience (advantageous).
