Description:
Our client, an independent, active global asset manager is seeking an Investment Operations Analyst – Regulatory Reporting. The primary responsibility of the Investment Operations Regulatory Reporting team is to monitor our clients’ trade and transaction reporting obligations, especially focused on the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) and Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID).
This role entails close collaboration with various stakeholders across the organisation, including the compliance team, legal department and other operational units.
Responsibilities:
Be responsible for reviewing regulatory reporting submissions, handling exceptions and enhancing the reporting quality. Establish and nurture close relationships with various trading counterparties to address any regulatory reporting discrepancies. Developing an in-depth knowledge of the relevant regulations. Provide support to the Regulatory Reporting Manager and establish/maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders and external parties such as brokers and clients. Management of key deliverables and ensuring swift responses to business queries/issues. Perform regulatory reporting reconciliations, interpret the data, identify patterns and address areas of risk
Requirements:
Relevant tertiary Degree/B Bus Sci in Finance, Statistics, Data Analysis or any related degree, with 3+ years of relevant monitoring of clients’ trade and transaction reporting obligations industry experience Or newly qualified CA(SA), with Asset Management auditing experience Experienced in analysing and interpreting large data sets in Excel Advanced Excel is essential and will be assessed as part of the recruitment process Technical knowledge and experience of Charles River and ETD/OTC derivatives (desirable)
