Description:

SA Metal Group requires committed, hardworking and motivated individual to join their Security team as a Control room manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible but not limited to managing and overseeing the protection of the site through monitoring and regulating of the company’s procedures.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Control Room Manager’s primary purpose is to provide management support to the control room. To maintain and implement best practice in-line with the Security and business strategy. The tasks will include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities (NOT limited to the below)

Manage control room-monitoring security cameras and alarms. Ensure the safety of SA Metal fleet and response activation. Assist security managers with incident investigations, tracking and reporting. Develop standard operating procedures for control room. Train controllers on the best practices for control room. Ensures that all Employees’ Written Task Procedures are updated, explained and the employee understands the contents thereof. Inspect control room occurrence book daily. Ensure security systems are operational and maintained. Ensure all incidents are recorded accurately. Laisse with dispatch teams in case of emergencies. Compile incidents reports and report to management. Compile monthly reports. Motivates team Manage time and attendance Maintain discipline Maintain and administer processes on Powerfleet. Maintain and administer building alarm processes. Perform ad-hoc tasks as and when required Adheres to Health & Safety Regulations in terms of the Safety file for the department.

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE

Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent. Grade A PSIRA Certificate. Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, CCTV). Valid driver’s license. On-line vehicle tracking experience 5-8 years Control room Management experience. Technical knowledge of CCTV and dial up monitoring systems. Problem-solving skills. Multi-tasking skills. Knowledge of Company Rules & Regulations. Ability to work with people. Ability to influence other staff positively. Apply site procedures consistently. Sound report writing skills.
