Description:
- Responsible for a portfolio of monthly accounting clients
- Supervising, planning and managing the bookkeeping team
- Managing and training a team of bookkeeping trainee accountants and reviewing their work
- Liaison with clients to answer queries, obtain relevant accounting information, etc
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements (Compilation and Independent reviews) and income tax calculations
- Reviewing and submitting VAT and Income tax returns
- Manage work in progress and be proactive in discussing delays with the partner and client
- Assist partner with invoicing of clients and collection of payment.
- If necessary, an accounting client manager will be required to assist bookkeeping team to perform accounting work
- On-the-job training of trainees
- Counselling, coaching, and training bookkeeping trainees
- Tracking the progress of the engagement
- Addressing significant issues arising during the engagement, considering their significance, and modifying the planned approach appropriately
- Ensure that all trainees are working effectively
- Other administrative responsibilities (e.g. timesheet approval, leave approval, performance appraisal process)

- Hold a SAICA or SAIPA accredited degree
- Working knowledge of Draftworx, Excel, Word, Quickbooks online, Microsoft Outlook, will be to your advantage.

- Academic/Technical Knowledge: IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, VAT, Income Tax and Companies Act
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Own transport, a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Good communication skills, must be bilingual in Afrikaans and English
- Completed a SAICA or SAIPA articles
- Hold a SAICA or SAIPA accredited degree
