Technical Scrum Master

Description:

Our client is looking for a Technical Scrum Master to lead and develop a team of data engineers and analysts, driving the design, implementation, and maintenance of data solutions. You will play a dual role as a Scrum Master and Technical Lead, ensuring Agile development practices are followed while mentoring and growing a high-performing technical team. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of technical resources focused on data solutions (analysis, design, engineering, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance).
• Oversee Scrum processes and facilitate key Agile ceremonies ( Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review ).
• Identify and resolve blockers that impact the team’s progress.
• Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities.
• Implement and optimise delivery processes for excellence and service improvement.
• Inspire and mentor technical teams, resolve conflicts, and guide professional growth.
• Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences .
• Translate business IT requirements into implementable solutions, ensuring operational continuity.
• Assess risks and comply with SDLC and change/release management processes .
• Design data solutions and oversee architecture specifications within governance standards.
• Analyse problems, identify trends, and propose best-fit solutions.
• Manage technical support requests and ensure resolution within SLAs.
• Participate in specialist communities of practice to enhance organisational knowledge.
• Lead team performance, skills development, and cultural initiatives for innovation and efficiency .

Qualifications & Experience:

• IT Degree or Diploma (Completed).
• 3+ years of BI/Data Development experience, focusing on data preparation, pipelines, and ETL .
• 2+ years leading technical teams .
• Strong knowledge of Architecture & Design Principles, Data Governance .
• Industry experience in Property, Financial Services, or Auto (Advantageous).
• Experience with Spatial Data (Advantageous).

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL .
• Knowledge of Python, C# (Advantageous).
• Understanding of IT Security, AI, Intelligent Automation, Cloud (Advantageous).
