Are you an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper looking for an exciting opportunity? We are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join our client's team in Knysna and Plettenberg Bay . This role requires a highly organized individual with strong financial acumen to manage bookkeeping functions and support our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and process payments
- Prepare VAT and other statutory returns
- Assist with payroll processing and related compliance
- Generate financial reports and assist with budgeting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Liaise with auditors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping
- Proficiency in Pastel, Xero, or similar accounting software
- Strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory requirements
- Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
