Job Purpose:Reconciliation and collection of outstanding accounts from both medical aid and private patients. The investigation of outstanding accounts and communication with both internal and external clients.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Meeting financial targets and strict deadlines. Review and understand your aged analysis and identify areas of concern. Reconcile remittances from the medical aid and take the appropriate action on any rejected account(s). Review all rejected claims for PMB benefits, review ICD10 coding and resubmit to the funds for payment. Understand and apply the scheme rules for your allocated medical aids. Maintain the outstanding debtor days below 25 days. Use the system diary effectively and action the diary notes daily. Respond to member queries, telephonic or in writing within the same day. Preferred Skills/Knowledge:
At least 2 years experience working in a credit control role in a healthcare environment. Excellent knowledge of medical aid rules and benefits. Extensive knowledge of PMB benefits. Extensive knowledge of ICD10 coding. Intermediate skills: Excel. Computer literate, including systems within a healthcare environment. Working knowledge of HIMS advantageous. Education
Minimum Matric but relevant Credit Management qualification preferred. Short courses completed for self-development and professional growth, preferred.The proposed salary for the role is R21k - R28k per month, offer will be based on a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
