A leading multinational company within the Engineering, Mining, and Manufacturing sectors is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Financial Controller to join their executive finance team based in Woodmead. This is a Senior Controller role, ideal for a technically strong finance professional with significant experience handling complex group consolidations and financial reporting across multiple entities. Key Requirements:- CA(SA) qualification – non-negotiable.
- Minimum of 6 years’ post-articles experience in a similar role, ideally within the engineering, mining, or manufacturing industries.
- Extensive experience managing complex consolidations for multinational or diversified groups.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS compliance.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and guide financial teams.
- Experience in financial strategy, risk management, and ensuring strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of the group consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Preparation and presentation of consolidated financial statements.
- Drive financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and financial policies.
- Provide strategic financial input to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Oversee financial governance, risk management, and internal control processes.
- Manage and develop the financial team to achieve high performance.
