Description:
We are seeking a Fitter and Turner to join our Maintenance Department. The primary role is to ensure all internal maintenance needs are met daily. Key Responsibilities:- Develop a maintenance schedule for factory equipment and perform timely maintenance as per manufacturers’ guidelines.
- Conduct planned maintenance and document details, including date, work done, cost, and equipment details.
- Be available 24/7, including public holidays. Keep your phone charged and respond urgently to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all work is fully completed, and any temporary fixes are resolved as soon as possible.
- Work shifts and overtime as needed.
- Must have own transport.
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of equipment, policies, and procedures related to mechanical infrastructure.
- Technical aptitude for fault finding and repair.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Ability to follow instructions and planned maintenance procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Organized, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and energetic.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Customer-focused with attention to detail.
- Reliable and able to complete tasks and document them on job cards.

- Minimum Senior Certificate and relevant trade certification.
- Technically inclined.
- Results-oriented and service-driven.
- High concentration levels.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
