Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team and drive the development of innovative technology solutions. The Engineering Manager will be responsible to manage the workshop and plant earthmoving equipment division in order to ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
· Maintenance in the workshop area and earthmoving equipment division
· Develop and implement strategies and goals that align with overall business objectives
· Monitor job and breakdown progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed
· Management of safety systems in the workplace
· Internal and external customer relations
· Control and authority in the earthmoving division
· Specialised Technical support.
· Manage of time and attendance of technical staff
Requirements:
- Manager: 5 to 6 years
- Earthmoving: 8 to 9 years
- Technicals: 8 to 9 years
Qualifications:
· Minimum of grade 12 or equivalent
· Relevant and recognised tertiary qualification and/or recognised mechanical trade test
· Proven experience working in similar roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity
· Strong technical expertise
· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
· Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
