Description:
1. Carrying out scheduled maintenance tasks including but not limited to inspections and maintenance procedures in accordance with O.H.S.A. regulations
2. Attending to breakdowns.
3. Feedback reporting in writing on work done, spare used and further requirements including reporting to management on faults that require external intervention.
4. Monitoring and reporting on unsafe conditions and/ or acts.
5. Making recommendations with regards to technical and productivity improvements
within the factory.
6. Alternating shift and standby duties with collegues, as well as being available within reason for overtime. And for annual year end shutdown requirements
7. Observing and maintaining DPE “6S” Housekeeping procedures and SHEQ requirements.
8. Will be required to be of general assistance with regard to other department requirements
Requirements:
- Mechanical Skills: 5 to 6 years
- Technical Skillset: 5 to 6 years
1. Education : Grade 12 or N3
2. Qualifications : Recognised apprenticehip & National Trade Test as Fitter & Turner
3. Experience: Minimum 5 years practical work experience with preferably at least 3 years in the plastics injection moulding industry .
Scheduled maintenance, Fault finding, breakdowns, report writing.
4. Other : Be dedicated and able to work responsibly without supervision.
Must be willing and available to work shifts and overtime as required, including standby during December and other shutdown periods.
Must be able to work to safe ‘6S’ standards.
