Hospital Clinical Coder
Location: Cape Town South Africa
A private hospital based in Cape Town and Johannesburg is seeking to employ a Hospital Advanced Clinical Coder. The core purpose of the role is to ensure the accurate clinical coding of patient accounts.
Key responsibilities:
Liaison with patients, medical doctors, and medical schemes to provide updated clinical coding in relation to the patient response to treatment to receive appropriate fund reimbursement from the medical schemes. Assessment of patient clinical statements and the conversion of the information to ICD 10 and CPT coding on the patient account.Key requirements:
Registered Nursing Diploma with current SANC Registration Advanced Certificate in ICD-10 Coding (Essential) Advanced Certificate in Complete CPT preferred Thorough understanding of CPT and ICD 10 coding standards Minimum of 3 years’ experience within Clinical Coding in a private hospital or managed care environment Intermediate to Advanced PC LiteracyInterested candidates who meet the above criteria are requested to e-mail a detailed CV to vacancy @ letslink.co.za or to contact Gary on +27(0)110261907
