Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage multiple large-scale, complex engineering projects from inception to completion.The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Design
Lead and manage all aspects of large, complex engineering projects from concept to completion. Develop and maintain a detailed project plan aligned with overall deliverables and project lifecycle. Participate in project meetings, ensuring familiarity with all contractual and commercial terms. Define project scope, implementation plans, key objectives, and associated costs. Manage project design, engineering processes, and coordination of relevant stakeholders. Oversee risk assessments, maintain project risk registers, and implement mitigation strategies. Allocate and manage resources effectively throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate procurement of major and minor equipment, as well as subcontractor services. Oversee logistics, including transportation, shipping, and work permits. Ensure seamless handover of projects to site teams.Project Monitoring & Reporting
Track and report on project progress, highlighting deviations from the original plan. Monitor project financials, including cash flow, supplier and customer invoices, guarantees, and bonds. Maintain accurate records, meeting minutes, and systematic project documentation. Ensure effective utilization of resources and adjust project strategies as needed. Manage project resourcing, including staff, equipment, and site facilities. Ensure strict compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) standards. Implement risk management strategies, including site security, employee safety, and insurance coverage.Key Knowledge & Skills:
In-depth industry knowledge and strong networking capabilities. Expertise in risk management and construction regulations compliance. Thorough understanding of OHS Act and other applicable Health & Safety regulations. Proficiency in Project Management processes (PMBOK) and best practices. Strong grasp of business processes and engineering practices. Knowledge of contract and commercial law (FIDIC, NEC, IBCC, GCC). Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Projects). Ability to operate SAP and other Project Management systems.
