Description:

Presently reside in Alaska or have worked in Alaska before upstream O&G.

Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, or related field) required.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
Certified Cost Estimator (AACE, ICEAA) or PE (Professional Engineer) license is preferred.

Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in oil & gas project estimating and engineering.
  • Strong background in FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), and cost estimation.
  • Experience with offshore/onshore drilling projects, pipelines, and facility construction in remote locations like Alaska.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and permitting processes in Alaska/ U.S.
    Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in estimating software (Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, Cleopatra, Sage Estimating, or similar).
    • Proficiency in Primavera P6, SAP, and Microsoft Project.
    • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM, and engineering design software.
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.

      Key Responsibilities

      1. Estimating & Cost Control:
        • Develop detailed cost estimates for oil & gas projects, including pipelines, refineries, offshore/onshore facilities, and drilling operations.
        • Utilize industry-standard estimation tools and software (e.g., Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, Primavera P6, SAP, or similar).
        • Perform risk analysis and contingency planning, ensuring budget accuracy.
        • Track, analyze, and control project costs, forecasting cost overruns and recommending solutions.
        • Collaborate with procurement and contracting teams to ensure competitive vendor pricing.
          1. Project Engineering & Execution:
            • Develop and manage engineering design scopes, specifications, and project deliverables.
            • Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ANSI, OSHA, and other industry standards.
            • Provide technical oversight for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
            • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
            • Lead project scheduling, progress tracking, and milestone reporting.
              1. Risk Management & Compliance:
                • Identify and mitigate engineering, environmental, and safety risks in alignment with company and federal regulations.
                • Ensure all project designs and cost estimates comply with Alaskan and federal environmental laws.
                • Support regulatory permitting and stakeholder engagement processes.
                  1. Stakeholder & Client Communication:
                    • Present cost estimates, progress reports, and engineering solutions to senior management and clients.
