Description:
Participates in the service rotation program, working at the dining hall and in various other locations where food and beverages are served.
· Provides assistance and support to designated Waiter teams when working in the dining room to ensure more efficient and impeccable service of meals to guests.
· Learn and use food and wine terminology and pronunciation to enhance the guest experience. Learn menu descriptions and wine lists to discuss these terms appropriately with guests.
· Get the tablecloths, silverware, glasses, and china to set the table.
· Set the table according to Gold Anchor standards.
· Greets and escorts guests to their assigned seats according to Gold Anchor standards.
· Presents both food and beverage menus to guests, suggests dishes to order, and wine pairings, and answers questions regarding the menu and wine selection according to Gold Anchor standards. Makes recommendations that appeal to guests while meeting management's objectives to reduce inventory.
· Takes orders to the kitchen as requested and serves dishes from the kitchen and drinks from various locations.
· Add garnishes and decorate dishes as needed before serving.
· Enters food and beverages into the point-of-sale system.
· Maintains assigned station, including tables, high side tables, and chairs according to the vessel cleanliness matrix and public health standards.
· Observes guests to anticipate their needs and responds to any additional requests and determines when food and beverage service ends.
· Participate in the artistic programs held in the dining room as required by the established activities and specific adaptations to the itinerary, such as thematic parades during the nights.
· Participates in meetings, training activities, classes and all other work-related activities as required.
