Our client in the bulk materials handling equipment industry is seeking a Project Sales Engineer to join them in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. Job Title : Project Sales Engineer
Geographical area : Durban
Salary range : Market Related

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:
  • Develop the customer database with customers that may benefit from company products or services and maximize customer potential.
  • Develop long-term relationships with customers, through managing and interpreting their project requirements.
  • Sales of products and/or services that best satisfies customer needs in terms of project scope, quality, price and delivery deadlines.
  • Assist with negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both the customer and company needs.
  • Host technical presentations and demonstrate how the company product / projects and process meet the customer needs.
  • Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical colleagues.
  • Assist in the design of custom-made products and systems.
  • Prepare costing models and mini procurement sheets.
  • Prepare the PFD’s and P&IDs of the projects.
  • Prepare accurate detailed project quotes.
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance.

Minimum qualifications and experience:
  • Recognized Engineering qualifications
  • At least 3 years’ experience in similar positions
  • Bulk Handling Equipment or systems are advantageous
