Are you an experienced Buyer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for procurement? A leading manufacturing company in Johannesburg East is looking for a dynamic and proactive Buyer to join their team. Key Responsibilities:- Source and procure raw materials, components, and services required for production.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure timely and efficient procurement processes while maintaining cost control.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements:
- 3-4 years’ experience in a Buyer/Procurement role within the manufacturing industry .
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Ability to analyse purchasing trends and optimize procurement strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
