- Purpose of the Job
The NQF Research Chair (Full Professor) is a prestigious leadership role dedicated to advancing research and policy within the NQF. The incumbent will lead high-impact research, mentor emerging scholars, advance collaborations, secure funding, and contribute to DUT ENVISION2030 and SAQA’s research agenda.
Minimum Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field with a focus on qualifications frameworks or education
- NRF rating or equivalent is
- 8 –10 years of research and academic experience with a strong publication
- Proven track record in postgraduate supervision, research funding, and policy
- DHET-accredited research outputs in the past three years in line with DUT
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a research agenda aligned with DUT ENVISION2030 and SAQA
- Secure and manage external research
- Supervise master’s and doctoral students and mentor early-career
- Publish in high-impact journals and engage with policymakers and industry leaders (quad helix partners).
- Contribute to institutional research governance and ethics
