Job Description:
As a newly appointed CAD Engineer, you will be expected to put together bespoke technical drawings following information provided from the project management team and the sales team. It is likely that the majority of the role will be producing working drawings for the operations team to
use, but there will also be some requirement to provide conceptual drawings for use in sales quotations. Some sites will require a ‘start from scratch’ approach to CAD drawing, some will already have drawings assembled which need adjusting to suit requirements.
Main Job Roles:
Produce CAD drawings from information provided by Technical Sales personnel
Including producing manufacturing / fabrication drawings where required, and including conceptual 3D drawings for sales team
Initially, time may need to be spent on site alongside the site installers, to assist in learning the trade
Learn ductwork design/ sizing & flows of ductwork in order to take a central role in design of ductwork
Manage own task list and prioritise as necessary.
Organisation and filing of drawings, as required.

Requirements:
Good numerical skillsGood IT skills.
Very good written and spoken English
High proficiency in AutoCad & SolidWorks
Good knowledge and understanding of ductwork design & airflows – able to calculate requirements
Strong organisation
Ability to prioritise workload, good time management skills
Ability to work within deadlines and cope under pressure
Interpersonal and team-working skills
Suitably Capable IT Equipment (i.e. able to cope with large software programmes and files)

Completing work within timelines
Accuracy of work
Working to, and completing, Check sheets
SUCCESS in the role looks like:
Producing accurate drawings within the pre-defined timelines.
Completing all checksheets to ensure standards of drawing are achieved.
