Job Title: Flexographic Print Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Machine Print Operator. Setting up, monitoring, and operating flexo presses to produce high-quality printed products. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the flexographic printing process with exceptional focus on quick set up time, precision and accuracy in prepress operations. Strong ability to work collaboratively with team members. In-depth understanding of the flexographic printing process. Minimum 5 years’ operating experience specifically on 8 colour high speed central impression presses, preferably on a W&H. Adjusting parameters for different jobs and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Handling - Loading and unloading materials, ensuring proper alignment, and maintaining the flow of materials through the printing process.
Quality Control - Monitoring the printing process to ensure consistent quality and accuracy, identifying any defects and making necessary adjustments.
Troubleshooting - Identifying and resolving technical problems with the equipment, such as ink issues, plate alignment, or material feeding issues.
Ink Management - Understanding ink viscosity, colour matching and how different inks react on different materials.
Knowledge of Pre-Press Operations - Understanding of job signs offs against artwork, colour corrections, plate making etc.
Requirements
- Manual Dexterity and Precision - Due to the need for precise and quick adjustments to the machines.
- Problem-Solving - Ability to quickly diagnose and fix issues that may arise during production.
- Attention to Detail - Flexo printers are highly precise machines that require close attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Trade Tested in Flexography.
- 5 + years’ experience in Flexographic printing
- Ability to read and understand measuring equipment.
