Production Manager

Description:

Production Manager required for a mine in Brits. THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ARE ESSENTIAL:

Completed BEng, BSc or BTech degree in Mining Engineering is required.
Current holder of a Mine Managers Certificate of Competency is required
A minimum of 10 years of operational mining experience with 5 years underground mechanised experience and 5 years within a management role
Valid driver’s license code B, EB
Must have own transport
Good general health and a certificate of fitness (Red Ticket)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Manages mining operations safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively to meet short term and long-term production and safety objectives.
Ensures that the Mining function contributes in its entirety to the company’s long term business strategy by adding real business value, contributing strategic information, and co-designing and implementing growth programs.
Presents the Operational 3–5-year plan (including annual budget) to Management as a basis for informed and confident long, medium, and short-term business decisions by collating information, reports, indicators, assessments, reviews, and audits.
Ensures correct resources are available to deliver business targets (e.g., product quality and volume).
Provides visible felt leadership in safety, sustainable development, and CRM values.
The implementation of management systems to ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, occupational health and safety and risk management standards and leading practices.
Creates, develops, mentors, and motivates effective management, operational, maintenance and technical teams.
Accountable for continuous improvement and asset optimisation initiatives for mining processes.
