Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for all Automation Systems within the factory. To ensure that all breakdowns of an automation matter are resolved timeously. Ensure PLC hardware functional and protected at all times. Improving the plants efficiency with regards to electronics. Support production and maintenance team. Implementation of automation projects on a small scale. Required to collaborate with other relevant departments to identify, define and solve problems. Monitor OEE daily and provide solutions to repetitive and extended breakdowns.Qualifications and Experience:
S4 Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering. Red Seal Qualified Electrician with relevant automation experience. 5 years in the automotive/ manufacturing environment. Able to read and write PLC programs on Allen Bradley, Siemens and TIA Portal. Able to program Allen Bradley and Siemens HMI’s. Working knowledge of Adroit Scada Systems and networking. Experience in variable speed, Allen Bradley, SEW, Lenze and Siemens Drivers. Working knowledge of CNC Machines with Fanuc and Siemens Controls. CNC Maintenance experience on 2Axis/ 4Axis Machines/ drilling machines. Experience in Fanuc and Kuka Robot Controls Fault finding on electrical and electronic equipment. Good knowledge of Profibus, DeviceNet, ASI, ControlNet, IP Ethernet networks and ProfNet. Troubleshooting through reading electrical wiring diagrams. Fanuc I- Controls experience i.e. 18/ 21/ 32 I Controls. Good analytical troubleshooting. Will be required to work the current 4 Shift System. Will be required to work during shutdown.
