About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to join a dynamic, fast-paced UK-based retail e-commerce company. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a strong background in e-commerce, retail operations, and digital project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various projects, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and successful execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop, manage, and oversee project plans from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Define project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project performance, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with internal teams, including sales, operations, merchandising, and IT, to streamline project execution.
- Maintain strong communication with external vendors, merchants, and third-party service providers.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all projects comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) guidelines.
- Oversee quality control processes to maintain high standards in project deliverables.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and analyze project performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports, summarizing project progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Utilize data-driven insights to enhance operational efficiency.
Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Conduct regular team meetings to provide direction, guidance, and feedback.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in project management within retail, e-commerce, or digital environments.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Project Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- Strong e-commerce and digital operations experience, ideally from companies like Takealot or Amazon.
- Excellent Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Trello.
