Are you a reliability engineering expert looking for an opportunity to drive asset performance and operational excellence?

A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Specialist: Reliability Engineer to manage equipment reliability and improvement programmes. This role ensures the safe operation and effective maintenance of allocated assets through expertise in reliability engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee safety, health, and environmental compliance by supporting audits, conducting field assessments, and ensuring best practices Lead reliability management efforts, defining asset health programmes and engineering activities Develop and maintain reliability block models and conduct RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Supportability) analysis Identify and implement reliability improvement opportunities Review asset component life cycles to optimise replacements and extend equipment longevity Develop and refine asset tactics, ensuring seamless integration into SAP maintenance plans Manage equipment lifecycle cost modelling and asset health monitoring Provide operational readiness inputs and oversee maintenance strategies for new assets Spearhead shutdown service strategies and drive process improvements Develop spare part preservation, quality assurance, and obsolescence management plans Ensure compliance with engineering change processes and configuration management Analyse reliability performance and implement defect elimination initiatives Lead and develop teams, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards Manage budgets and cost control for asset maintenance and improvement

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) (NQF7). A postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Asset Management, or Reliability (NQF8) is advantageous Experience: 6-8 years in plant and heavy mobile equipment (HME) operations Technical Skills: Strong understanding of heavy mobile equipment maintenance, reliability engineering, and condition monitoring Expertise in maintenance planning, execution, and reliability practices Knowledge of SAP maintenance modules and asset management best practices Other Requirements: Valid SA drivers licence
