The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
● Identify and build a pipeline of potential partners that have a large customer/supplier base of SMEs that need finance.
● Proactively reach out to potential partners and secure meetings to present our value proposition, exploring opportunities for collaboration.
● Take charge of negotiations with potential partners to establish mutually beneficial agreements, ensuring alignment with company goals and maximising partnership value, with support from the executive team and Head of Growth - as needed.
● Secure commercial partnerships that deliver a step change in volume of good quality businesses applying for funding.
● Build and maintain deep relationships with partners, and identify opportunities to expand collaboration.
Work closely with internal teams (marketing, sales, engineering, operations) to align partnerships with company goals, ensure seamless integration, and deliver an exceptional experience for partners and their customers.
● Develop partnership programs that generate value for partners and drive mutual growth.
● Create and implement a robust partnership strategy, including defining objectives, selecting target partners, and developing a structured approach to onboarding and nurturing partnerships.
● Track, measure, and report on the performance of partnerships, optimising efforts for maximum impact.
● Actively contribute to the go-to-market strategy for new products and services by leveraging partner channels.
● Develop and execute initiatives within strategic partnerships that enhance partner engagement, co-marketing opportunities and that drive revenue, leveraging the full potential of each relationship to meet financial targets.
● Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes, and the strategic activities of competitors to inform partnership strategy and identify potential opportunities.
● This is not a traditional sales role—while it involves strong sales elements, it is much broader in scope, encompassing strategic partnership development, negotiation and relationship management to drive long-term value.

Qualifications and experience required:
● 5+ Years of experience in a role related to the revenue function.
● Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
● Experience in negotiating and structuring commercials and partnership agreements.
● Partnerships experience in lending, payments, banking, insurance, etc.
● Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to confidently engage with senior stakeholders at potential partners.
● Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to discuss technical concepts and have a high level understanding of technology requirements and abilities.
● Proven ability to plan, implement, execute, and track strategic projects, ensuring alignment with the broader partnership objectives outlined above.
● Highly driven, proactive, and self-motivated, with a strong ability to take initiative and drive projects forward independently.

Although not required, the following experience would be beneficial:
● Experience in strategic partnership role.
● Partnerships experience in lending, payments, banking, insurance, etc.
● Prospective client or partner facing experience.
