Our client is seeking a highly motivated and hands-on IT Field Technician to join their team at their luxurious game lodge. This is a unique opportunity to live and work on-site at the reserve, where you will assist with the day-to-day IT requirements, as well as support the development of their lodge. This role will also involve providing general maintenance support and contributing to lodge operations when IT needs are minimal. You will work closely with our IT team to manage infrastructure setup, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth IT operations across the reserve. Key Responsibilities:- Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and repair of desktop computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless systems.
- Support and maintain systems such as Office 365, VOIP (3XC software), and networking infrastructure.
- Implement system and equipment upgrades, ensuring optimal performance.
- Support with general maintenance tasks and lodge operations when IT requirements are low.
- Ensure excellent customer service and communication with lodge staff and guests.
- Assist with fieldwork and infrastructure building as required.
- Strong knowledge of routers, switches, and networking systems.
- Competency in Office 365 and wireless infrastructure.
- Experience with VOIP systems (particularly 3XC Software).
- General maintenance knowledge and the ability to support lodge operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Hands-on, problem-solving approach.
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- A+ and N+ certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in desktop support and 2 years in hardware support.
- A valid driver’s license.
