Job Purpose:

To drive sales growth and develop strong customer relationships in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on promoting company products, generating leads, and closing deals.

The ideal candidate is a young, dynamic salesperson with 5 years of experience, strong marketing knowledge, and the ability to travel for client visits.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Sales & Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities and grow the customer base in the manufacturing sector.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends and competitor activities.

2.Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Address customer inquiries, provide technical product knowledge, and negotiate contracts.

3.Marketing & Brand Promotion

  • Assist in developing marketing strategies to enhance product visibility.
  • Work closely with the marketing team on campaigns, promotions, and digital marketing efforts.
  • Attend industry trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to expand market reach.

4.Sales Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasts.
  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly sales reports to management.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.

  • Must have own transport and a valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel within South Africa when required.

Minimum Requirements:

1.Education & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Additional training in industrial or manufacturing sales (advantageous).

2.Experience:

  • 5 years of sales experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales and client relationship management.
  • Experience in marketing, lead generation, and brand promotion.

3.Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial products (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and travel to client sites.
