Our client is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join their prestigious luxury hotel and lodge group. This role requires a detail-oriented and self-driven individual who can manage all financial functions of the properties, ensuring efficient and profitable operations while maintaining financial controls. Responsibilities:- Collaborate with Finance Managers, Operations Managers, and General Managers to create budgets and set objectives for efficient operations.
- Review and report on the financial accounts of each property, identifying any anomalies.
- Manage the year-end audit for the properties.
- Prepare monthly and weekly financial packs, reports, and variance reports.
- Highlight any discrepancies, overspends, or changes in strategy.
- Ensure adherence to financial manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Provide leadership and training to the accounting staff to improve skills and promote job satisfaction.
- Oversee the administration of personnel files, payroll, medical aid, provident fund, and statutory compliance.
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a finance team and work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
- Experience with ACCPAC and VIP Payroll is required.
- Familiarity with hospitality PMS systems, particularly NEBULA, is a plus.
- Matric is essential, with additional qualifications being advantageous.
- Valid RSA ID.
