General Manager - Cleaning & Security Operations (Cape Town)

Our client is looking for a highly experienced and dynamic General Manager to join the team in Cape Town. This role is ideal for an individual with extensive experience in cleaning and security operations, as well as a strong background in labour relations and CCMA processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading operations, ensuring excellent service delivery and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of cleaning and security services across multiple sites
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team to ensure exceptional service delivery
  • Handle client relationships and ensure all operational needs are met
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Manage labour relations, including experience with CCMA hearings and disputes
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective operations
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in managing cleaning and security operations, with a proven track record of success
  • Relevant qualifications in management, facilities management, or related fields (Degree preferred)
  • Extensive experience with CCMA processes and labour relations management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities
  • Proactive and client-focused with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Experience in managing budgets and driving financial performance
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and compliance standards
