Description:
As the Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for the following:- Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
- Update and maintain the general ledger
- Reconciliations of entries into the accounting system
- Record debits and credits
- Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
- Account reconciliations to assert the accuracy of transactions
- Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
- Monitor any variances from the projected budget
- Assist the Group Accountant with preparing financial statements
- Invoice customers and keep track thereof
- Chase up overdue payments
- Ensure that all financial dealings are logged correctly and in line with the necessary legal requirements
- Any other ad hoc duties
What Do You Need?:
- Diploma in accounting or finance.
- 5+ years experience.
- Experience with overseeing and managing junior accounts staff.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software, preferably Sage Evolution or Business Central.
- Excellent understanding and application of accounting rules and procedures.
- Analytical with meticulous attention to detail.
- High level of professionalism and the ability to be assertive.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
